Robert J. Meyers, PSP®
Bob is an Army veteran, retired Pennsylvania State Police officer with over 25 years of professional law enforcement experience with a proven ability to remain calm and deliver results in high-pressure situations. Prior to starting his security consulting partnership business, Vulnerability Solutions Group (VSG), his law enforcement assignments ranged from patrol officer, to criminal investigator, to Governor executive service protection, to physical security of state and federal installations.
Throughout Bob’s career, he independently analyzed and resolved complex protective and security issues involving the security of Governors and work force personnel resulting in the determination of measures and procedures to enhance security of personnel, materials and state & federal installations. He conducted physical security site surveys and analysis of public and private facilities checking for security vulnerabilities. Bob is proficient in reading and analyzing site facilities diagrams to determine security deficiencies. While employed with the Pennsylvania State Police, Bob lead all-encompassing security details throughout the country and abroad.
Bob is Certified as a Physical Security Professional (PSP®) by ASIS International and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University with a professional emphasis on Criminal Justice. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. He is approved by the Pennsylvania School Safety & Security Committee as a risk & vulnerability assessment provider, as listed on the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime & Delinquency School Safety & Security Provider Registry. Bob has attended many courses and seminars focusing on security and threat mitigation, and has served multiple times on a special selection board for the Governor’s Executive Services section within the Pennsylvania State Police. Bob is considered a security subject matter expert who has developed and instructed technical course materials that include local policies and guidance on protective services, force protection, and security issues.
